Coordinated Campus Advisory Council

Who we are:

PCC’s Coordinated Campus Advisory Council (Council) is a group of leaders from both the college and the community, including educators, advocates, and public safety professionals. We work together to improve PCC’s response to sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking (gender-based violence), including prevention and education programming.

Mission:?

Our mission is to create safe and supportive environments for all students. We do this by:

  • Following trauma-informed and student-centered practices?
  • Listening to those most affected by violence
  • Working to change harmful cultural norms
Purpose:?

The purpose of the Council is to provide recommendations to the designated Steering Committee on best and promising practices to respond to and prevent violence in our community. This includes:

  • Initiatives that are rooted in primary prevention strategies?
  • Confidential Advocacy Services that are culturally responsive and holistic
  • Title IX and Clery processes that are trauma-informed and center around the needs of students
  • Training and collaboration with the Department of Public Safety?
  • Continued development of the Council in order to meet current and future needs related to gender-based violence.

Meetings are held quarterly on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 10-12. Upcoming meetings:

The Council attends ongoing educational opportunities to learn more about campus prevention and response to domestic/dating abuse, sexual violence and stalking.? Topics include:
